"Girlfriends" is a ministry of First Christian Church

created to:

CONNECT with other women

GROW in your relationship with Jesus

and to SERVE others in the name of Christ

It is our goal to be a friend to each other and those in the community. To mentor to the hurting and lonely, to listen with care and concern and give wise instruction. We have all gone through a trial in our lives, and through Jesus we can share with one another and give encouragement and support. To be that servant for God to our girl friends and others in our community.

We are so glad that you have shown an interest in women’s ministry! We are excited about the plans God has for all of us, and we look forward to you joining us for a time of learning, laughing, changing, giving...and growing together in God's love!

Ladies Morning Bible Study Beginning Soon

The ladies’ morning Bible study begins Monday, January 23 at 9:00 am. They will be doing a 10-week DVD series called “Death & Resurrection of the Messiah” by Ray VanderLaan. Sign up by calling Rebecca Hahne at 402-379-2688. The study is a journey to uncover the meaning of Scripture across history. The DVD is filmed on location in Israel and the Middle East. This is part of the Faith Lessons series. You will discover why Jesus turned the world upside down with his compelling call to follow him. The cost of the books will be about $10.

Ladies Evening Bible Study Begins February

The new women’s evening Bible study begins Monday, February 13 at 6:30 pm at FCC. The new study is by Priscilla Shirer called “He Speaks To Me - Preparing To Hear From God.” Workbooks are $12. Sign up will begin on Sunday, January 22 in the lobby or contact Bridgitte Ball at sbball@cableone.net. This study discusses the common question Christians ask, “How can I know when God is speaking to me?” Priscilla uses the account of God speaking to Samuel to show how God speaks to Christians and how we can discern his voice and position ourselves to respond.
